I had another dog get hit by a car and we took him there to be cared for. The surgery would be $3,000 so we kept him there until we could find another reputable vet to preform the surgery for cheaper. The vet tech got frustrated because of the fact we were taking the dog elsewhere and when we asked to take a photo of the X-rays (THAT WE WERE PAYING FOR) so we can show the other vet, she said no, they weren't allowed to leave the office...even tho the male vet said they could.
Hope this review helped :)
Great staff.Took good care of our animals
This is a good veterinary clinic—a no nonsense operation without a lot of fluff, just down to earth veterinary care provided by Dr. Carl Fulton an affable and gentle vet with many years of experience. I have been bringing animals here for almost 25 years and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. The good doctor is rock steady although the staff seems to change regularly, although I suspect that is just the nature of staffing those kind of positions.
Very knowledgeable vet, Saturday options, can call ahead for refills, very friendly staff
TERRIBLE!!!!! My dog had parvo and they didn't have any availabilities to care for her. The fill in vet (woman) came out to the vehicle to look at her and said she'd make it 2 more days at least, but however, she died within 2 hours.
Friendly secretary and nurses but don't take your pet there if they are seriously injured. Routine vaccinations on a budget they are great, but if your pets hurt go to greenbrier vet clinic or make the drive to mayflower. The vet failed to save my westie dog after telling me he would make it. Sadly a year later I returned with my male 9 month old cat, I told him my toddler had seriously injured his leg to which he said cats are tough and roughly examined the leg while my cat screamed in pain. 4 days later I brought him back and he did xray and said his femur was broken and bone was pulled from hip socket but was probably born that way and would be fine; I got help elsewhere. I left so ashamed of myself for not paying better attention to the quality of help my animals revieved and for not choosing better care for them. The staff was wonderful and accomodating.
With all of that being said, I would not take my pet to that clinic unless you would like to be humiliated, talked down upon, and gossiped about when you're 2 feet away.
